Google Ads landing page: a practical checklist
A campaign performs as a system: search intent, keywords, ad copy, landing page, contact experience and conversion measurement should all support the same goal.
1. Match the page to search intent
If a person searches for website development in Bhopal, the landing page should explain website services and the next step. Sending every keyword to a generic homepage can make the visitor work harder to find a relevant answer.
2. Keep the promise consistent
The headline, offer and supporting copy should match what the ad actually promises. Avoid unverified claims, fake scarcity, guaranteed results or pricing that is not available when the visitor arrives.
3. Make the next step clear
Use a primary action such as requesting a quote, calling or starting a WhatsApp inquiry. Explain what happens next and ask only for information that is needed to respond. Test the flow on a real mobile device.
4. Build trust honestly
Show real service information, business contact details, relevant project examples and genuine customer feedback when you have permission to publish it. Clearly label case studies and never invent client names or performance numbers.
5. Measure meaningful conversions
Define what counts as a lead, sale or other business outcome. Verify that analytics and conversion tags fire correctly, respect applicable consent requirements and avoid counting duplicate or low-quality actions as successes.
6. Improve the mobile experience
Compress images, avoid unnecessary third-party scripts, keep forms short, maintain readable type and test loading behavior. Use PageSpeed Insights and real-user data where available to diagnose performance rather than guessing.
7. Optimize with evidence
Review search terms, negative keywords, location settings, device behavior, lead quality and follow-up speed. Change one or more clearly defined variables, then evaluate enough data before drawing conclusions. ROAS and lead volumes depend on the offer, market, budget, creative, page experience and sales process.
